As 2019 draws to a close 'In Case You Missed It' we are offering up some of our favourite moments and stories from the year. First up is the 'Racing Round the Rules' seminar video that has been hugely popular on our YouTube channel, and offers a reminder that in motorsport the unfair advantage is often a winning one! Each year one of the biggest highlights of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance are the seminars, traditionally held on the Friday and Saturday. These gatherings annually bring together some of the biggest names in the automotive industry for an insiders’ chat about the chosen topic. This year the seminars were centered, as they often are, on motorsport.
The first was “Racing Around the Rules” a discussion that covered some of the most creative ways that rulebooks have been read through the years.
The panel featured racers and rule makers alike, and host Ray Evernham, known to have been an interpretive reader of the rulebook himself, was able to get them to open up with behind the scenes tales of rules bent, beaten and sometimes broken!
