This Weekend: Oulton Park or Ingliston?
So where would we be this weekend? On Saturday we actually will be at Oulton Park in Cheshire for AMOC Racing’s (Aston Martin Owners Club) first meeting of the season which features their usual broad range of racers going from the Pre-War Team Challenge right up to modern cars.
1950s and 60s GT and sportscars are well represented with the ‘50s Sports Cars field joined by the Vredestein JEC Jaguar XK Challenge field. Even the races of more modern cars feature sone classics with a 1960s Aston Martin DB4 entered in the GT Challenge race. Qualifying stats at 09.10 with the first race at 11.50.
If you are able to venture further north in the UK then the Ingliston Revival at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh on Saturday and Sunday (13th and 14th May) looks a grand day out. sS well as car displays there is a competitive element with a sprint for classic cars on the 1.2-mile circuit.
