St Mary's Trophy Set to Be Goodwood Highlight
The Goodwood Revival's two St Mary's Trophy races are always a highlight, and for 2015 organisers have put together a great field of racing saloons from 1960 to 1966 bit also with a 'name' driver in virtually every car. Saturday is the day to go to catch the big names behind the wheel, with the car owners down to race in Sunday's second 25-minute race - the result declared on aggregate after the two rounds.
As ever we will be weeing the rapid Mini Coopers amongst much bigger machine - the Alan Mann Racing Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt of Henry Mann and Marino Franchitti an obvious target for Minis such as that shared by Nick Swift and Karun Chandhok. The wheel-waggling Lotus Cortinas will always be a threat, watch out for the BTCC pairing of Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden who were quick at the Silverstone Classic, white the BMW 1800s provide variety, and have racers such as Andy Prioulx, Lukas Luhr and Darren Turner on board.
Saturday's race is scheduled for 14.25, with Sunday's final thrash at 12.40.
