New Concours Curator for Salon Privé

Salon Privé the UK’s longest running and most prestigious Concours d’Elégance thas announced the appointment of Nic Waller as its new Concours Curator. With over 15 years’ experience in the Concours arena as European Consultant to the world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Nic brings a wealth of experience and global connections to the Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance by AXA, which is now in its 15th consecutive year.

The appointment is very fitting for an event growing in strength and stature every year. Last year, not only did the Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance become a partner Concours to the prestigious Peninsula Classics ‘Best of the Best’, but it was also appointed as the UK’s only fully-sanctioned ICJAG event, taking the judging and entries to an altogether new level.

Salon Privé Concours Chairman, Andrew Bagley commented, “We are thrilled Nic Waller has decided to join forces with Salon Privé too as Concours Curator. Salon Privé has enjoyed a steady rise to the top of the Concours world rankings in recent years and Nic’s knowledge and passion for the classic car movement, clearly evident through his continued association and work with Pebble Beach, will be invaluable in ensuring that Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance by AXA continues to attract the world’s very top collectors.”

“I am delighted to be joining the team at Salon Privé for 2020," said Waller, "a new decade that promises exciting events for the collector car community around the world. I often compare the finest international concours events to the Formula One Grand Prix world with F1 teams constantly travelling around the globe. Likewise, similar ‘teams’ of world-class collectors and restorers attend the very best concours events in almost every country including Britain, the United States, and Japan, as well as throughout Europe. If, as I do, you equate the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to the American Grand Prix, then I believe Salon Privé is certainly the equivalent to the British Grand Prix. I am very proud to now work with both these prestigious concours and I look forward to continuing my friendship with collectors on both sides of the Atlantic.”
