Historic Rally Championships Successfully Launched at Autosport International

The 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship and the 2016 Fuchs Lubricants R.A.C. Historic Asphalt Rally Championship were successfully launched at Autosport International at the Birmingham NEC and details of the 2016 DMACK Carlisle Stages were also announced. The Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club had a major presence at the sell-out show and the stand was busy across four days with competitors, event organisers, marshals and fans all visiting to find out about the 2016 programme which centres on:

The nine-round Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship
The six-round Fuchs Lubricants R.A.C. Historic Asphalt Rally Championship
The DMACK 2016 Carlisle Stages (11 June)

“We’ve had an excellent four days at the NEC,” said BHRC championship manager Colin Heppenstall. “The level of interest in both championships has been first class and we’ve taken a lot of championship registrations.”

The 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship starts on the Red Kite Stages on Sunday 21st of February. The response from BHRC contenders is already strong  and more than 50 registered crews are already on the 110-strong entry list. With a maximum entry of 120 cars, the entry list is expected to be full within two or three days.

Meanwhile, the Fuchs Lubricants R.A.C. Historic Asphalt Rally Championship starts on the Bovington Stages (5/6 March) and so far 13 R.A.C. contenders have entered the event, which is ahead of the initial target for the new championship.
