The Historic Sports Car Club will stage an impressive eight-car display at Race Retro, the International Historic Motor Sport Show, at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry (22nd-24th February).
The HSCC will showcase its 2019 racing season with the display at the centre of Race Retro in the event’s main hall. The cars on show will demonstrate the tremendous variety of the club’s racing programme, which opens its 53rd season at Donington Park in late March.
The HSCC is at the forefront of UK historic racing and has a portfolio of 17 championships and series. The depth of quality and diversity of its racing programme will be reflected in the cars on show at Race Retro. Cars from ideal starter-level categories will include the 70s Road Sports Marcos 3000GT of Nic Strong and a Historic Formula Ford 1600 Merlyn Mk20A from the Speedsport team.
Cars from Classic Formula 3, Historic Formula Junior, Classic Clubmans and the Guards Trophy for GT and sports-racing cars will pack out the stand along with the stunning Ford Sierra RS500 of Mark Wright, which flies the flag for the exciting new Dunlop Saloon Car Cup. At the opposite end of the historic motor sport spectrum will be the Cannon Historic Sporting Trials car of Trevor Wood.
The cars on show with the HSCC at Race Retro will be:
Dunlop Saloon Car Cup: Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 (Mark Wright)
Classic Formula 3: Ralt RT1 (Keith White)
