The cars head off this morning on day two of the 2019 Mille Miglia 2019, leaving the Adriatic city of Cervia-Milano Marittima for the the opening leg of the day.
Leading the rankinga after the opening leg, with 13,833 points, are Andrea Vesco and Andrea Guerini (Team Villa Trasqua) driving a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato. Following with 13,465 points, Giovanni Moceri and Daniele Bonetti (Team Alfa Romeo), driving a 1928 Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 SS of 1928. In the third place of the podium, with 13189 points, is the team composed by Juan Tonconogy and Barbara Ruffini, driving a Bugatti Type 40 from 1927.
The classic cars are expected to be in Rome as the sun sets, around 8:30 pm, after having crossed Cesenatico, Gambettola, Urbino, Corinaldo and Senigallia. At 1:00 pm, a brief pit-stop lunch in Fabriano (Loggiato of San Francesco), to then continue the route towards Perugia, Assisi, Terni, Rieti, and the arrival in the Capital for the picturesque motorcade in Via Veneto.
