Eight-Car Stand for HSCC at Race Retro

The Historic Sports Car Club will stage its biggest-ever display at Race Retro, the international historic motorsport show, at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry (20-22 February). As Race Retro marks the focal point for the start of the forthcoming historic racing season, the HSCC will stage an eight-car display in ‘Speed Street’ in the event’s main hall (Hall 2, stand D36). The cars on show will demonstrate the tremendous variety and depth of the club’s racing programme and spotlight two new initiatives for the 2015 season.

Representing the exciting new Jaguar Heritage Challenge will be a stunning Jaguar E-type from Gary Pearson, one of the most successful Jaguar racers in historic racing.

Meanwhile the club’s new race for Historic Sports 2000, to be held at the Croft Nostalgia Weekend in August, will be represented by the Royale S2000M of Mike Johns.

Other cars on show will flag up the wide diversity of HSCC racing and include:
Ralt RT1: Classic Formula 3 car loaned by Keith White
Lola T332: Derek Bell Trophy loaned by Steve Farthing of Wren Classics
Merlyn Mk20: Historic FF1600 loaned by Mike O’Brien of Speedsport
Van Diemen RF78: Historic FF2000 loaned by Ken Thorogood of Universal Racing Services
Condor SIII: Formula Junior loaned by Stuart Roach
Triumph 2000: Historic Touring Car loaned by Richard Cross

Past, present and future members are invited to meet club representatives to find out more about the HSCC and its 2015 schedule. Race Retro is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm on Friday and Saturday and from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
