Bill Oursler, “Billy” to all of us. Billy joined the HRN team this year. He has enjoyed 50 plus years in journalism and public relations. He has nearly seen it all, beginning his career reporting on the courts in his beloved New England. He has photographed the NFL, NHL and every type of motorsport, because cars and racing are his passion.

He has worked for legendary Jo Hoppen at Volkswagen of America – Special Vehicles (which, encompassed Volkswagen, Audi & Porsche at the time), also the motorsports divisions of Toyota, and BFGoodrich. He has spent more than 4 decades contributing to National Speedsport News, a relationship that continues today. Most recently, he has established himself as one of the foremost experts on Porsche racecars and has been prolific in his publishing that knowledge with titles covering the history of the Stuttgart manufacturer. The website Doubleclutch.com described Billy this way, “Anyone who has been receiving end one of his long phone calls knows about the passion, deep knowledge and understanding of all things Porsche. I doubt if he can even recall the number of books, let alone articles that he written over the past 40 years.”

Oursler, in his storied career, has carried on the family business. He is the Grandson of Author Fulton Oursler, and the son of War Correspondent & Author Will Oursler.
